Blood Orange & Strawberry Daiquiri

  • 2 oz light rum
  • 1 oz fresh blood orange juice
  • .5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 3 juicy strawberries
  • 1 tsp bar sugar, or simple syrup
  • orange twist, for garnish

in the bottom of a cocktail shaker, muddle strawberries with lime juice and 1 tsp sugar. add ice, rum, and blood orange juice. shake and strain into martini glass,

garnish with a twist of orange.

Lime & Basil Daiquiri

  • 2 oz light rum
  • .75 oz lime & basil infused simple syrup*
  • .5 oz fresh lime juice, with some pulp
  • fresh basil, for garnish

in a cocktail shaker with ice, combine rum, syrup, and lime juice. shake and strain into martini glass, garnish with fresh basil & a wheel of lime. 

note: for extra basily goodness, muddle some fresh basil in the bottom of the cocktail shaker before adding liquid ingredients.

 

serves 1

*for lime & basil simple syrup, heat 1 cup of water and 1 cup of turbinado sugar over medium heat, swirling to dissolve the sugar. add handful of basil leaves, torn by hand, and allow to steep until the color of the syrup darkens, slightly, and the consistency thickens. remove from heat, strain out the leaves, and whisk in the juice of one lime. allow to cool before using. 

 

SJK Piña-Guava Colada

  • 2.5 oz light rum
  • .5 oz fresh lime juice
  • .75 oz cream of coconut
  • 1 oz pineapple juice
  • 1 oz guava juice
  • fresh pineapple, for garnish

in a cocktail shaker with ice, combine rum, lime juice, and cream of coconut. pour, ice and all, into a tall glass. layer pineapple and guava juices on top.

garnish with fresh pineapple.

this is also delicious frozen.

Papaya Colada 

  • 2.5 oz light rum
  • 1 oz pineapple juice
  • 1 oz guava juice
  • .5 oz lime juice
  • .75 oz cream of coconut
  • fresh papaya, 1/2 cup plus extra for garnish

muddle papaya and coconut cream in the bottom of a cocktail shaker, until papaya is reduced to pulp, and the coconut cream begins to incorporate. add  rum and juices. shake vigorously to incorporate. pour, ice and all, into a tall glass, or blend with ice for a frozen treat.

garnish with fresh papaya.
